20. Psst ... Save the Planet—Encouraging People You
Know to Go on a Low Carbon Diet
If you haven’t already done so, join an EcoTeam. If you have, why not lead a team with CoolWin’s help.
Let your friends and acquaintances know they can buy Low Carbon Diet at Book Ends in Winchester, 781-721-5933 or borrow a copy from the Winchester Public Library.
Use your experience and these tips about lowering your carbon footprint to encourage your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to lower theirs!
Or help organize a Global Warming Cafe. to help get more EcoTeams started in Winchester and other communities.
21. A Cool Place to Work—Helping Your Workplace
         Reduce Its CO2 Footprint
If your workplace is not yet on board, recycling paper, cardboard and bottles is probably the easiest way to start.
To have a recycling bin installed at your workplace's parking lot, contact Matt Libby at Abitibi Bowater

22. Cool Community—Empower Your Community to
Go on a Low Carbon Diet
Winchester became “empowered” with the establishment of Sustainable Winchester’s CoolWin project in 2009—the beginning of a long term process.
But we're always looking for additional help running the CoolWin project. To learn more, check out Get Involved.
Ideas? Email us at Cool Winchester.
23. A Cool Citizen—Helping Your Community Set Up CO2
          Reduction Systems
Outside of CoolWin, there are many other ways to support efforts in Winchester to be good environmental citizens. Do you have time, talent or expertise you can contribute to our town?
Support the Building Champions program in our schools and other municipal buildings.
Join the Greenway Committee (biking and open space), the Street Tree Committee or Sustainable Winchester.
Attend meetings of the Conservation Commission, Energy Management Committee, Planning Board or Climate Action Task Force.
Support SMART recycling (Save Money and Reduce Trash).
Work on anti-idling initiatives, especially at schools.
To find out more about any of these options, contact Carolyn Starrett, president of Sustainable Winchester.
More information can be found on the Town of Winchester's website.
24. A Cool School—Helping Children Adopt Environmentally
